Un ouvrage sur Jane Austen qui semble tout à fait intéressant vient d'être publié aux USA. Il s'agit d'un essai critique sur la représentation de l'ironie dans les adaptations de Pride & Prejudice et Mansfield Park.

Jane Austen's worldwide popularity is not least due to the remaking of her novels for the visual media. Of the fifty-odd Austen related productions since 1938, forty-three of them adapt her novels to the various screens of cinema, television, computer and tablet. C'est un sujet qui me passionne mais le livre est publié par une maison d'édition indépendante spécialisé dans les ouvrages académiques et son coût est très élevé (environ 100 €   ).

On peut lire les premières pages sur amazon, c'est très frustrant
